Day 1: USA – BUENOS AIRES
Welcome to vibrant Buenos Aires!
Your private English-speaking driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in the heart of the Recoleta neighborhood – considered the best boutique hotel in the city by Condé Nast Traveler! You’re sure to enjoy this elegant, all-suite haven after days spent exploring the city.
This evening you’ll dive into local culture with an authentic wine tasting with local sommeliers! Argentina is known for its production of Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Torrontés, and this evening you’ll taste 6 different wines. You’ll also enjoy a charcuterie board with local meats and cheeses while learning about the types of wine and the wine regions, the wine-making process and a bit of history of wine in the country.
After the wine tasting, you’ll return to your hotel for a delicious dinner at Algodon Mansion’s wine bar.

Day 2: BUENOS AIRES
Today you’ll discover the city during a private tour! Your private English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to a café to start the day. You’ll briefly learn about Buenos Aires before taking the city by storm.
First stop, the famous Plaza de Mayo, across from the Casa Rosada, the Argentine White House. You’ll then stroll along the docks of Puerto Madero, an old port that has been renovated into a hip, modern neighborhood. Your guide will take you to the La Boca quarter, famous for its colorful buildings and tango dancers.
To top off the morning you’ll explore the bohemian neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the city’s oldest. Today, San Telmo is full of antique shops, bookstores, flea markets and milongas.
During your visit your private driver will be available to take you from destination to destination in comfort.
The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to explore the city as you wish.
This evening, you’ll feast your eyes on the most Argentine of visual spectacles: a professional tango show! Your private transfer will take you to one of the capital’s most famous cabarets for dinner. You’ll enjoy a VIP three-course à la carte dinner with Rutini Cabernet Malbec and Bodegas La Rural Sauvignon Blanc pairings, as well as soft drinks, beer and coffee.
After dinner, settle into your VIP box seats and enjoy the intensity and passion of the dancers!

Day 3: BUENOS AIRES – MENDOZA
Mendoza is the largest wine producing area in all of Latin America with over 356,000 acres of planted vineyards – it’s no coincidence that the area is considered one of the world’s great wine capitals! The region specializes in Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Chardonnay, but Criolla Granda and Cereza grapes account for a quarter of production! The region’s altitude and climate make for ideal growing conditions.
You’ll be staying at the gorgeous Cavas Wine Lodge, a luxury retreat nestled amongst 55-acres of vineyards. During your stay, you’ll have free access to the Lodge’s gym, beautiful outdoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. All of your meals in Mendoza are included, and the choice is yours: you can dine at the Lodge, either in the restaurant, on the patio or terrace, or in your room, or in a local bodega or restaurant. Should you choose lunch or dinner outside of the Lodge, your transfers to and from restaurants are included. You’ll also enjoy a variety of complimentary non-alcoholic beverages with your meals.
At your arrival in Mendoza, your driver will take you to your stunning haven for the next few nights, the luxurious Cavas Wine Lodge. Settle into your room, then head to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Lodge. Day 4: MENDOZA
Today you’ll visit some of the best bodegas – vineyards and wine cellars – that the region has the offer! Enjoy tasting some of the finest wines of the region, directly at the vineyards where they’re produced. Savor the beauty of the vines, with the mountains providing a simply stunning backdrop.
For lunch, you choose! You can dine in a bodega of your choosing, or at the Lodge, either in the restaurant, on the patio or terrace, or in your room.
After lunch, you’ll visit another bodega to sample more of the region’s renowned wines. Visit the vineyard, learn about the winemaking process, and enjoy the beauty of the region, glass in hand. Salud!

Day 5: MENDOZA
After a scrumptious breakfast, choose between horseback riding, kayaking, rafting, rappelling, or a round of golf to enjoy the singular beauty of the region.
After a lunch of your choosing, it’s time to relax! Enjoy an hour-long massage in the Lodge’s relaxing spa.

Day 6: MENDOZA – SALTA – CAFAYATE
After breakfast overlooking the vineyards, a transfer will take you to the Mendoza airport for your flight to Salta and transfer to Cafayate.
Cafayate is the country’s second wine-producing region, famous for its Torrontés vines that produce aromatic white wines. The region also produces cabernet sauvignon, Malbec, tannat and dry rosés. Though lesser-known than Mendoza, the region – a colorful juxtaposition of lush green vines flanked by arid mountains – is a must for wine lovers!
You’ll be staying at the elegant Grace Cafayate, part of La Estancia de Cafayate, a secluded, 1,360-acre estate. The hotel boasts a restaurant with open kitchen and terrace, a wine and cigar bar, swimming pool, spa, prestigious golf course, club house, polo fields, and naturally, its own vineyards. Day 7: CAFAYATE
Today is dedicated to the region’s wines! This morning you’ll visit Finca La Primavera for a unique tour around the vineyards. You’ll get an insider’s view of the sparkling wine process, made here from Torrontés with the ancient Champenoise method. You’ll enjoy a tasting of the property’s wines, paired with scrumptious local cheeses.
This afternoon, you’ll blend your very own wine! The specialists at Bodega El Porvenir – an iconic local artisan boutique winery – will walk you through the process, step-by-step. Blend Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Tannat to create your own custom bottle to take home. You’ll also be treated to a visit of the bodega’s wine cellar.

Day 8: CAFAYATE
After a delicious breakfast, your driver will take you to the center of town for a visit of the Museo de la Vid y el Vino – the Wine and Vineyard Museum. In this interactive museum, you’ll learn about the soil, grapes, traditions, and history of wine in the Calchaqui Valley region.
This afternoon, you’ll visit two of the highest-altitude vineyards of the region! With vines growing at over 9,500 feet, the region’s altitude confers particular characteristics on the grapes produced here. Learn about what makes these grapes and the wine so special while sipping on a few glasses paired with local cheeses.

Day 9: CAFAYATE – SALTA – IGUASSU
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast overlooking the vineyard before your driver takes you to the Salta airport for your flight to the heart of the rainforest, Iguazu!

Day 10: IGUASSU: Brazilian Waterfalls
You’ll spend today in the breathtaking Brazilian side of Iguazu National Park. Don’t forget your camera, as you’ll soon understand why Eleanor Roosevelt exclaimed, “Poor Niagara!” when she first laid eyes on Iguazu’s almost 300 waterfalls, rising as high as 265 feet!
You’ll then head to Parque das Aves, a bird rescue and conservation center. You’ll see over 1,400 birds – over 150 different species, many endangered – that hail from all four corners of Brazil, and from all over the world. The park has three immersion aviaries and a butterfly house, where you’ll find yourself face to face with these amazing animals.
Optional activity: Jungle Adventure
You’ll start your jungle adventure by climbing into the canopy (50 to 80 feet) to explore nature from above! You’ll come back to the jungle floor to go for a nature walk through the forest, learning about the lush plants and native animals around you. Your adventure will end with a healthy dose of adrenaline – wet rappelling down 45 feet! You’ll be assisted by specialized instructors throughout your adventure activities.

Day 11: IGUAZU: Argentine Waterfalls – BUENOS AIRES
This morning you’ll see the waterfalls from the Argentine side, including the famous Garganta del Diablo – the Devil’s Throat, the highest of Iguazu’s grandiose waterfalls! Keep your eyes peeled during your visit, as you’re likely to cross paths with monkeys, turtles, crocodiles and tropical birds and butterflies!
After exploring the park and taking some amazing photos, you’ll head off for a Gran Aventura! You’ll start your jungle excursion in an all-terrain vehicle on the Yacaratiá Trail, to Puerto Macuco. You’ll then board a speed boat, navigating 4 miles down the Lower Iguazu River before crossing mile-long rapids! Past the rapids, you’ll enter the Garganta del Diablo Canyon and disembark on San Martin Island, in the heart of the falls!
After this exciting day, your driver will take you to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 12: BUENOS AIRES
This morning your private driver will take you to a private cooking class, where you’ll learn traditional Argentine recipes to continue your Argentine experience when you return home! You’ll learn about the country’s cuisine and its rich history, while learning to make:
– Empanadas with homemade dough and two fillings: meat and vegetables
– Llauja: A spicy sauce originally from northern Argentina and southern Bolivia
– Flan and Dulce de Leche: The traditional Argentine dessert and famous sweet topping
With lunch you’ll also enjoy three wine pairings, with organic wines from Salta, Mendoza and Patagonia. Buen provecho!
